What is your number?

What is my number? I have thought about it for a while. My number should probably comprise the following:
- 1m for my kid (study abroad / college);
- A bigger flat for my home family, probably around 3m
- $10k/month to maintain my living standard and other expenses. Assuming a conservative 5% return from investment, asset worth $2.4m is required.

So my number is $1m+$3m+$2.4m = $6.4m, which, seems really really really far away from me...=_=
